Hearts & Bones Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
About the wine
This deluxe Cab spent TWO years aging in fancy French oak!
- Cabernet from several primo vineyards around the Australian township of Margaret River - a famous Cabernet growing region in the land down under!
- It's like noshing on ripe summer plums. You'll be so wowed by these epic fruit flavors, you might even dribble juice down your chin. Powerful red wines like these can develop to be even bigger with time – so it gets better yet.
- Pair Stu's stunningly complex Cab with a grill-marked, marinated steak, a dollop of cheesy mushroom risotto, and the appetite to match.
Best before
This wine does drink very nicely now, but like all great Margaret River Cabernets, it will age for 10+ years easily. I would recommend buying at least 6 bottles, trying one tonight, and then hide the rest in the cellar, and drink one every few years. It will be worth the effort.
Serving advice
Open a few hours before you think you will be drinking it. Have a small taste then, and then decant it. Leave in the decanter until it is needed at the table, and serve from there.
Food match
braised local beef shortribs, local grass fed lamb loin chops, party pies, slow cooked pork belly with chipotle sauce. All served with a lovely garden salad
Contains sulphites
