Hello All,

Just checking in: Heard some grape news from my Oregon Pinot Noir farmer.. vines are looking healthy- they've had a bunch of rain.. sometimes almost too much- he did say there are running the tractors all the time to manage the canopy! We'll have a good idea of grape cluster size and crop load very soon. Still working on the contract with my farmer for 2013 and beyond!! Yeah we plan that far out- really excited to lock down both Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris for the 2013 harvest.
Living here in Napa I'm able to check out the crops all the time- I'll have a full report on Monday about the 2012 Napa Valley Syrah- expect a very small production (because of the quantities we are buying) but with the weather we've had here... amazing fruit will come out of this established vineyard on the valley floor!
Happy National Lasagna Day (July 29th- I'm cooking a roasted eggplant and basil)... what kind you cook?
