"This bottling is a unique blend of Chardonnay and Semillon from a single 38-year-old vineyard in Calaveras County,” Stephen said. “This vineyard was established in 1980 and is located in the very remote Esmeralda Valley, on an old gold mining claim.” On the winemaking side, Meaghan said, “We barrel-fermented the Chardonnay and stainless steel fermented the Semillon. It's got distinctive peachy Semillon flavors blended with Chardonnay which provides texture and length."

"My 2018 Red Angel Red Blend is a Bordeaux blend with a twist. Besides the classic Bordeaux reds I've taken the opportunity and blended in Petite Sirah and Tempranillo — all grown in the Foothills," Stephen said. "Intense color is always a good start. Next up on the nose is a mixture of dark and red fruits, even a slight raspberry note that gives way to a nicely oaked palate and finish." Stephen added: "This wine is in short supply and is typically highly sought after by those in the know."
