- Carmen’s deep, rich Cabernet Shiraz blend is bursting with luscious, perfectly ripe fruit flavors like fresh raspberries and blackberries, with just a touch of toasty oak character to make this one unforgettably smooth, easy-sipping red.
- Thanks to Angel support, Carmen was able to source top tier hand-picked fruit from her choice of vineyard sites in South Africa’s Paarl region, where warm, dry conditions push the grapes to develop seriously concentrated flavors that come through beautifully in the finished wine.
- Open a bottle of this lush red as you’re firing up the grill and by the time your burgers are nice and perfectly charred, the flavors will be fully opened and practically singing in your glass.
Best before
This wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Shiraz. The Cabernet Sauvignon brings the backbone and the Shiraz adds a smoothness and lifts the Cabernet Sauvignon flavors. Now, we have beautiful ripe tannins, depth of flavor and just enough lime freshness, all attributes of a wine that can be kept for 3-5 years, but drinking this beautiful wine now will also please the palate greatly.
Serving advice
I opened this wine and tasted it immediately -- so nice and soft, I was so impressed. I had another glass later with my dinner and was even happier, all the flavors popped, just lovely.
Food match
As it was Friday night, I made beef burgers and enjoyed my glass of Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz one glass turned into 3. It was a very nice and easy evening, just like the wine.
