Best before
This red blend has all the attributes for great aging; good color and structure, great balance and depth of fruit. It has the ability to age for 3-5 years, in which time all the prominent fruit flavors will take on even more complexity.
Serving advice
This wine needs to be decanted for a minimum of 30 minutes before enjoyment, if possible. The contact that the wine will have with the oxygen will bring all the trapped flavors to the surface while smoothing out the structure.
Food match
I decided on Sloppy Joes and baked sweet potatoes with this Rhone-style red wine. The savory-sweet dish compliments the wine style beautifully while highlighting all the fruit and weight of the wine.
