About the wine
Elegant Pinot from an exclusive sliver of Willamette Valley
- This delicate red is a cool-weather staple, flush with dark fruit flavors, a silky-smooth texture and the signature fruit-driven character of Ribbon Ridge.
- As Oregon’s smallest winegrowing region, Ribbon Ridge only produces a tiny amount of the state’s Pinot, but thanks to your funding, Chris was able to harvest pristine grapes from some of the area’s most exclusive vineyards.
- Anywhere else, an Oregon Pinot this top-shelf would go for $60 a bottle, but Angels get it for under $21— grab a few bottles while it lasts!
Best before
It is ready to drink now, however will get better over the next year. The wine has enough structure and acidity to hold up in bottle. I would give it a try in the next year or 2, but it will hold up for a few years. Not that it will last that long though.
Serving advice
A bit of decanting or opening a half hour before drinking may be beneficial for the first year or so. It will continue to get better and open up as it sits open.
Food match
This is Pinot Noir so could go with just about anything. However, my favorite recently is beef stroganoff with home grown Oyster mushrooms (or if in the fall wild picked Chanterelles). Lightly grilled chicken and roasted root vegetable medley would be good as well.

Brace yourself for lavish, ripe wines from Willamette’s most treasured vineyards – made by the man who makes some of the country’s most expensive Pinot Noir!
With Angels' help, Chris is uncovering the ultra-posh wines from this 100-point region's sub-appellations – including Dundee Hills, Ribbon Ridge and Yamhill-Carlton.
He's a quiet, passionate guy that loves putting in 110% to make each vintage better than the last, but don't let the modesty fool you! You fund a world-class talent, and you're giving him the freedom to make Willamette shine.
