About the wine
A handcrafted piece of Willamette history - from your regional expert
Backed by Angel funding, this award-winning Oregon producer was able to craft his a special new Willamette Pinot Noir from scratch – and it's a kick above anything he's ever made for you!
Chris lives and works in the heart of Oregon Pinot country – Willamette – so he knows all of its best-kept wine secrets, including the premier hillsides and sun-kissed ridges where the best Pinot grows. And by funding him up-front, he got his pick of the crop!
When he's not making some of the most expensive Pinots in the country, he's making them for a song – exclusively for Angels who make them happen. Cheers!
Best before
It is approachable young so don't be afraid to drink it early, but does have structure to age for a few years. I would say 1-5 years will be its prime.
Serving advice
It gets better as it sits in the glass. Perhaps open it 30 minutes before serving, and then be sure to revisit it after having a glass.
Food match
Pinot Noir is extremely versatile when it comes to food. For me the best thing is my personal recipe for a caramelized Carlton Farms pork tenderloin with chanterelle mushrooms. Other favorites are duck breast or for a more delicate option, a fresh Steelhead fillet.

Meet the winemaker - Chris Baker
Brace yourself for lavish, ripe wines from Willamette’s most treasured vineyards – made by the man who makes some of the country’s most expensive Pinot Noir!
With Angels' help, Chris is uncovering the ultra-posh wines from this 100-point region's sub-appellations – including the Eola Hills, Rogue Valley, and Dundee Hills.
He's a quiet, passionate guy that loves putting in 110% to make each vintage better than the last, but don't let the modesty fool you! You fund a world-class talent, and you're giving him the freedom to make Willamette shine.
