Dunnolly Estate Pinot Gris 2017
About the wine
Classic New Zealand white from a father-daughter duo!
- This is classy cool-climate Pinot Gris. It's got every New Zealand trademark – fresh, crisp, dancing with zesty fruit.
- Harvested from the Waipara region, this crisp white is fresh and full of personality, with loads of juicy apricot and pear flavors in the glass.
- It was tough season for this father-daughter winemaking duo. Thanks to your support, these guys were confident through a year of crazy weather – including lots of cold rainy days and TWO cyclones! Despite the chaos, they delivered a textbook NZ white - and a special one at that.
Best before
This wine will be great for the next 5 years. Drinking it best in the next year but will age well.
Serving advice
Please serve slightly chilled.
Food match
I can never go past pairing our Pinot Gris with freshly caught fish/seafood like pan-fried snapper or salt & pepper squid. Served with a bright green salad and potatoes - try topping them with a sprinkling of mint!
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Nicky Parish
- Meet Nicky and Peter... Nicky is the winemaker and Peter is the grower. They are father and daughter – and combined, they have over 50 years of experience in the wine industry.
- Making wine from the Waipara Valley, situated in North Canterbury on the South Island of NZ. Nicky's winemaking passions are crisp whites and Pinot Noir.
- For 10 years they grew grapes for the best producers in New Zealand (like Pegasus Bay), but a few years ago, they put their own name on the grapes when the vines hit their peak. Now Angels are helping Nicky and Peter continue their Dunnolly dream!
