Hearts & Bones Margaret River Cabernet Merlot 2016
About the wine
Top-shelf Aussie Cab Merlot filled with ripe flavors and rich textures
- Your Aussie winemaker crafted you a top-shelf red that's filled with lifts of wild berries, juicy plums, warm toasty spices and a silky-smooth finish.
- Using specially-selected fruit parcels, Stuart combined rich, fragrant Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon with lush and juicy Merlot to bring you this well-structured red.
- This is a serious wine that's half the price of its competitors. Pour yourself a glass (or into a decanter) before cooking a hearty dinner like creamy mushroom risotto – you won't regret it...
Best before
While this wine is a great drink now, especially due to the soft richness of the Merlot, it will age gracefully for at least 10 years.
Serving advice
Open this wine about 2 hours prior to drinking it. If possible, also decant it. This bit of air and patience, really allows the wines aromatics to lift, and the palate to come together. It's not easy being jammed away in a bottle for a few years, so it takes a little time to relax and show your best once you are allowed out.
Food match
Food Ideas: dry roast Margaret River grass-fed beef fillet, seared tuna cutlets, venison risotto with mushrooms.
Contains sulphites
