I decanted this wine about two hours before dinner. This is one wonderfully smooth, buttery, and lush wine that has a great finish and very rounded tannins. I am so sorry that I cannot rate it higher because this is the highest rating I allow myself. We had this wine with a chicken/garlic/lemon/rosemary dish. It was a great pairing. On the nose there was black cherry and blackberry. On the palate, there were those same fruits but then a wonderful red raspberry followed by some lush vanilla. It was really a wonderful mouth feel. The finish was long and very pleasant. At the alcohol level of this wine, it may be too easy to drink. For dessert, we had this wine with some ten year old cheddar cheese and some blueberries and cranberries dipped in dark chocolate. Wow, it was great again. It had a different profile, but, still the same great pairing. We will have this again, and, I cannot wait to try with a BBQ or other tomato based type meal. BRAVO Mr. Millier.
