About the wine
A rare red blend that's lusty, powerful and teeming with dark juicy fruit
- Velvety smooth and wrapped in warm, subtle spices, Ana’s rare 50/50 red blend will own any dinner table you bring it to.
- Ana created this traditional Portuguese blend of California grown Touriga and Tempranillo, then let it sit in French oak barrels until it was gloriously silky and indulgent.
- This is an incredibly special mix – it's hard to find anywhere in the U.S.! Don't miss your chance to taste the rare wine YOU made possible.
Best before
This wine can be enjoyed right away, but will also age very nicely over the next 5 to 8 years.
You're in for a treat if you chose to enjoy it now.
Serving advice
Absolutely, I definitely have an important opening advice:
As a young red wine, please be sure to let it breathe before enjoying. I recommend opening 1 to 2 hours before consumption.
Another great option is to either decant it or to have the wine go through an aerator.
But please pour yourself a glass while you wait! It's really fun to sip the wine while you wait, and to see how it changes in the glass.
Food match
Any Italian inspired dishes will pair beautifully with this red blend.
Pizza is on top of my list, particularly "grown up pizza" (aka gourmet pizza!)
I also love an elaborate meat cannelloni. It brings me back to Sunday lunches with my family (it is one of my favorite dishes!).
I recently tried it with a homemade roasted chicken and the paring was perfect. Simple Sunday dinner! Grilled lamb chops is another favorite.
I also love it with a great cheese platter and (lots) of crunchy bread.
Contains sulphites
