Benjamin Laroche Chablis 1er Cru Vau Ligneau 2015
About the wine
Incredibly rare and complex Chablis of the highest quality
- Benjamin's family has made famous French Chardonnay for centuries. Thanks to you, he's able to keep this tradition alive, and make wine under his own name.
- This Premier Cru sings with the Chablis trifecta: freshness, minerality, and cream. Ben says: "Premier Cru Vau Ligneau is not one of the most well-known appellations because it's rather small – but it makes some of the best crisp, vivid and refreshing wines."
- This white has a lip-smacking, tingling finish that absolutely sings with simple grilled fish– or a splash of shellfish.
Best before
From now until 4 to 5 years (sometimes even more if kept in excellent cellar conditions). The hot summer conditions of 2015 vintage in Chablis led to a rather low acidity that is required for long time aging.
Serving advice
No decantation is necessary. It should not be served too fresh. Around 13°C, not less.
Food match
Simply grilled fish. Cooked oysters and noble sea food. Poultry in creamy sauce. Goats cheeses or smooth and creamy cow cheeses.__
Contains sulphites
