Carlos Rodriguez Ribera del Duero 2014
About the wine
Ribera del Duero is like Rioja's classier, but inexplicably less famous cousin.
- Carlos makes this Tempranillo just outside of the prestigious Rioja region, where he maintains very high standards (in some ways higher than Rioja), but it's not world famous because marketers have a hard time pronouncing Ribera del Duero (ree-BEAR-ah del DWEAR-oh).
- One of Carlos' contacts tipped him off about an amazing parcel of fruit, and with the help of Angel funding he snapped it up! This wine is full of smooth, red fruit and a lot of roundness.
- When you have a big juicy steak and you want a smooth, classy operator, reach for this limited release from one of our best-rated Spanish winemakers.
