About the wine
Carmen's rich red blend is a smooth South African stunner
Layered with juicy fruits and subtle spices, Carmen’s luscious red blend is a deep, brooding masterpiece of Cab Franc, Merlot and Cab Sauv that was made specifically for a full-on feast shared with friends.
With your support, Carmen could source the powerhouse varietals for this blend from prestigious vineyards in both Stellenbosch and Paarl. The fruit was handpicked and the wine aged 10 months in expensive oak barrels before coming straight to you.
It’s an all-out Angel favorite and the perfect red to pair with some pepper crusted steak and freshly made aioli.
Best before
This wine can be enjoyed now, but will need some decanting to bring all the beautiful fruit to the fore. This wine has all the attributes to be aged for 5-7 years if kept under the right conditions.
Serving advice
I do suggest decanting the wine for 30-45 mins. You'll be rewarded with so many beautiful fruit aromas and flavors. Enjoy!
Food match
A beautiful pesto pasta with heaps of roasted pine nuts served with fresh rocket leaves will make for a good companion to the Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cab Sauv. Pork dumplings are also a winner with this wine.
