Cordero Langhe DOC Arneis 2015
About the wine
The Arneis grape was almost extinct... but Angels are bringing it back into the spotlight!
- Bright, full-bodied, and ready for any season, the Cordero Arneis can change the way you look at white wine forever.
- Nobody's ever heard of Arneis, a grape variety that almost went extinct in the 1970s when only one family continued growing it... so it's incredibly good value because it's still virtually unknown (only 1840 acres were planted, according to the 2000 Italian census).
- The Cordero family's white is a bottled pear orchard, full of ripe, sun-kissed fruit and crazy aromatics. A plateful of piping hot seafood pasta needs to follow this wine wherever it goes.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Gianfranco & Serena Cordero
Years Angel-funded: 2014-18
- This father and daughter combo are mega-qualified Italian winemakers and consultants who make beautiful Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera and Arneis wines from Piedmont.
- They started producing their own wine in 2006 when they decided to take on Serena's grandfather Teresio's vineyard so they could keep on working in his memory, and let their land be known all over the world.
- Gianfranco is one of the reasons Barolo is known as the King of Wines, and - with the help of Angel funding - Serena is ushering in a new generation of northern Italian wines with balance, elegance and flavor.
