Evangelos Bagias Lodi Petite Sirah 2020
About the wine
Bold, single-vineyard Petite Sirah from your champion of Lodi
- This powerfully fruity, mouth-filling Petite Sirah is flush with dark fruit flavors from blueberry to blackberry, with a complex, easy-sipping texture from a full 5 months of barrel-aging in French oak.
- Your funding helped Evangelos harvest top-notch Petite Sirah from his choice of a single vineyard in Lodi's Mokelumne River subregion, where conditions are ideal for helping this robust red grape thrive.
- While Petite Sirah usually gets blended away as backup in better-known wines, with your support, Evangelos can finally spotlight just how well Lodi’s boldest red varietal does all on its own – and the wine is exclusively yours to enjoy!
Best before
This Petite Sirah has a great balance and structure that will let it age well for the next 5-7 years if stored properly.
Serving advice
Serve this red at a slightly cooler temperature of about 65ºF to bring out the wine's characteristic bold fruit flavors. If possible, use a decanter and let it air out and breathe for 2–4 hours, as it is still a very young wine.
Food match
Grilled lamb chops with roasted rosemary potatoes, eggplant and Greek moussaka would all be great pairings with this red.
Contains sulphites
