About the wine
Indulge in the premiere Angel-funded Cabernet from Silver Oak alum Daniel Baron
- This classic Napa Cabernet is pure elegance, drenched in ripe blackberry flavors with a subtle olive character and woven with a lush, full-bodied texture that’s perfectly balanced by a long, seamless finish.
- As the former winemaker for Silver Oak, Daniel knows where to go for Napa’s best fruit. Hailing from Chiles Valley (which Daniel compares to the most famous vines of the region), this is his spin on a classic Napa Valley beauty.
- This Cabernet marks Daniel’s first officially Angel-funded wine, and for making it possible, you get this premium, top-dollar Cabernet with an exclusive $39 Angel savings!
Best before
This Cabernet will be delicious on release and will improve with proper cellaring over the next 10 years.
Serving advice
This Cab will benefit from decanting or other forms of gentle aeration before you serve it.
Food match
I would serve grilled rib eye steaks with a homemade chimichurri (parsley, garlic, oregano, olive oil) from our garden or California lamb burgers or grilled fresh California salmon with sauce vert (parsley, chives, capers, spinach garlic, olive oil).
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Daniel Baron
- Daniel Baron is a wine world icon, full of more anecdotes than wine vintages — of which, he’s contributed to 50 — including an iconic year at Petrus and pioneering roles at Dominus Estate, Silver Oak & Twomey.
- Working for Angels, “I can gather many threads from the warp and woof of my life fabric — and pay homage to the many mentors who have informed my passion for winemaking over these decades,” Daniel says.
- Look for specialty Napa and Sonoma reds from Daniel - made with a true expert's touch. “It is a dream come true for me to bring 50 years of winemaking into one bottle, and offer it to you."
