Haywood Winery Terra Red Blend 2011
About the wine
A 2011 red blend that's packing an Old-World punch
- Peter Haywood's Terra is a Sonoma red blend that will stay on your mind for weeks.
- If California and Italy merged and became one super-continent, no doubt the new land would be known for blend like this, made from rich Zinfandel and bold Primitivo grapes (the bold red you find in Super Tuscans).
- These red grapes are strong and hearty enough to age for eons. Peter's blend has already been aged FIVE years. It could easily lay it down for more, but if you're looking for an amply-aged red that will knock off your socks...there's no time like the present.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Peter Haywood
- Peter made such good wine a big corporation came to buy his brand name. They paid big bucks to use his name but they never cared about the talented winemaker that was behind the excellent wine.
- While the brand got sold from one corporation to the next, Peter went on growing great grapes and making good wine under different names.
- If you care more about the winemaker than about the brand name, buy a bottle of Peter's wine.
