i-Latina La Rabicana Vineyard Carmenere 2017
About the wine
Powerfully smooth red flush with classic, barrel-aged Chilean charm
- Irene’s champion Chilean red is a master class in deep, dark, intensely fruity flavors, meticulously mingled with sweet spices and a sublimely smooth texture from a full year of oak barrel aging.
- Thanks to Angel funding, Irene was able to source this world-class Carmenere from a single vineyard in Peumo, a tiny village with a BIG reputation as one of the most primo spots for Carmenere in all of Chile.
- These pristine grapes grow on a postcard-perfect sunny hillside where they enjoy just the right conditions to ripen slowly and evenly, giving your wine the fullest, freshest flavors imaginable.
Best before
This red will age well for the next 3-4 years, but is so delicious now, why wait?
Serving advice
Irene suggests opening your bottle about 40 minutes tot an hour before serving it to let it open and show all its spellbinding complexity.
Food match

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Irene Paiva
Irene had a hand in most of the top wines in Chile. As a pioneering women winemaker in South America, she's cited in loads of wine curriculum books across the world for her influence in the region!
Being an independent winemaker in Chile is rare, and Irene leads the way. With over 20 years of experience, she is a highly sought-after winemaking consultant and manages her own vineyard estate...
... that’s where her Angel-funded wines come from. She’s made wines for Chile's big names (including San Pedro and Sena, Robert Mondavi’s Chilean brand with Eduardo Chadwick) but her very favorite consultant is YOU.
