Jim Olsen Shoot the Moon Sweet Red 2014
About the wine
Sweet luxury Napa Cab - the best slightly sweet red you've ever tasted
- The richest, biggest sweet red we've ever tasted. This is hands-down the king of all sweet reds and a wine that you won't find anywhere else in the world.
- Jim saw a problem in the wine industry: most sweet wines are cheaply made. He wanted to make a decadent sweet wine with exceptionally high-quality Napa fruit and expensive oak barrels.
- Honestly, this was a crazy idea. But the result is jaw-droppingly good. Angels gave Jim the freedom to make a totally unique wine and we think this may be the next big thing.

Meet the winemaker - Jim Olsen
Years Angel-funded: 2012-18
- Jim didn't just study wine at the University of California, he taught about it for 30 years.
- Before Naked, he worked mainstream jobs like La Crema and held quirkier side gigs - like growing Portuguese grapes in Californian soil.
- Jim spent decades in California cellars. At Naked, he found the most surprising deals for Angels - delighting you with Winemaker Fantasy wines (like White Barbera!) as a true champion of the rare varieties and vineyards in the state.
