Leigh Meyering SeriousLeigh Sonoma County Cabernet 2015
About the wine
Clean, neat, precise a perfectly calculated red from a wine scientist!
- This Cabernet Sauvignon hails from Russian River valley, right next to Chalk Hill. The vineyard's carefully tended and produces incredibly balanced flavor.
- Leigh runs a Napa wine laboratory, so she knows just how to experiment with a blend – she carefully added a couple surprises, like Malbec and Petit Verdot.
- Angel funding allowed Leigh to take her time with this one – and she advises you do the same. Give it some time in bottle. In three months, it'll reward you BIG!
Best before
Try to resist the urge to drink right away if you can. It will be best toward the end of 2017 and in the years to come. If you want to drink this wine earlier, please decant or aerate (or both.)
Serving advice
Aerate if you plan to drink this wine in the first half of 2017. The oxygen will help open up the wine making the aromas more intense and will help soften the grippy tannin.
Food match
This big wine needs a rich and flavorful meal to pair with it. Braised short ribs or a nice steak would pair nicely, or a hearty pasta dish.
Contains sulphites
