This wine may improve over a short time, say 2-3 years. It is meant to be enjoyed now with the optimal balance of fruit and sweetness.
Serving advice
The wine is enjoyable right out of the bottle. That being said, it will benefit from a bit of aeration as with most any young red.
Food match
This wine will be delicious with charcuterie and stronger flavored hard cheeses like aged cheddar, stilton, Appenzeller. I'd also recommend it with smokey barbecue and spicy Asian dishes.
