About the wine
Indulge in the return of Tom's sweetly fruity red blend
- This luscious red blend is winemaker Tom Shula’s special treat for the sweet-tooths out there, crafted from a trio of Merlot, Tannat and Petit Verdot for a juicy, refined set of flavors richer than a bite of cherry pie.
- Thanks to Angel funding, Tom was able to bring back this red delight for a third vintage, striking that perfect balance between easy-drinking smoothness and a delectable sweetness.
- Pair this smooth red’s sweetness with a decadent cheese plate after dinner, Tom says, and you can’t go wrong.
Best before
This wine may age gracefully for a few years, but it is intended to be enjoyed now.
Serving advice
As with all young red wines, this will benefit from some time airing out after opening. That can be via decanting, using an aerator, or generous swirling in the glass. I suggest serving this sweet red at around 60-65º F, though some may prefer it cooler.
Food match
Lightly sauced BBQ ribs, or spicy Asian fare would be good choices with this red. It's also terrific with a selection of cheeses after dinner, like cheddar and gorgonzola.
