Villebois Sancerre 2015
About the wine
Taste the holy grail of Sauvignon Blanc don't miss this vintage!
- We didn't think Joost could actually make a better Sancerre, but here he goes again... outdoing himself - and thanks to Angel funding, still serving it up for a steal.
- This is crisp with a capital C. A bit of vibrant fruit is offset by a really lovely minerality and an uber long finish. Just so, soooo drinkable.
- You can't waste a serious Sancerre like this. Splash out on some lobster or a big bowl of mussels to make the most of it. Order 2 bottles to be safe.
Best before
To drink now but can easly ages for another 3 years provided being kept at a cool and even temperature in a dark place
Serving advice
Please let the wine rest after travelling or upon reception and observe the serving temperatures

Great to enjoy as an apéritif. Fantastic with oysters ,lobster and fancy seafood salads. Of course

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Joost de Villebois
Years Angel-funded: 2013-18
- Joost knows how to preserve the heritage of the Loire region while catering to new world consumers.
- He started out in the '90s, producing 2 barrels a year in an old farmhouse... now, with Villebois, he highlights all the best parts of French whites, 24/7. And he passed the Angel torch to his lead winemaker, Patrice Grasset- who makes the Loire Valley wines you love today!
- Winemaking's a real team effort, Joost says. He's so glad to have had you on part of his!
