Virgile Joly Languedoc Organic 2014
About the wine
Our first organic wine from the heart of Languedoc
- Virgile Joly is manic about organic - seriously. But unlike many of his fellow hippies, he's also obsessed with making sure the wine tastes great, as well as loving the earth.
- A mixture of Grenache and Shiraz, it's bursting with joyful ripe red fruits, with the smooooothest of finishes. It's just oh-so-drinkable.
- Grab a big leg or shoulder of lamb, slow cook it so it melts off the bone, lashings of mint sauce, and several bottles of this.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Virgile Joly
Years Angel-funded: 2013-18
- Virgile Joly is the poster boy for organic viticulture in the south of France. There's even a novel about his early days when he manually bottled his first vintage with a funnel (imagine filling 3000 bottles that way?!)
- A ridiculously talented winemaker with rave reviews from Jancis Robinson and other European critics, Virgile is living his best life in the Languedoc.
- Thanks to Angel funding, Virgile was able to expand his production. You were the investors that helped bring his world-class wines to a global audience!
