Not typical for tempranillo. Aged well since it is drinking well now. Juicy fruit with nice acidity and soft tannins. Great value.

A surprising boldness, smooth sipping. Tried this one from the basket at my husband's request and found it to be just my side of dry, with a big lush berry-forward flavor that paired extremely well with juicy burgers and huge slabs of summer tomato dusted with sea salt.

Have rarely met a Tempranillo I didn’t care for. This one fits the bill, too.

20200305 Macario Montoya really is the king of tempranillo wine. Drank this wine over three days with pairing of barley/lentil soup, BBQ and simple salad/chicken. All good. Dry wine with pretty big tannic finish of leather and smoke. Oaky taste up front and medium acidity.

Really liked this wine, had a great taste, went down easy and was well teamed with Rib-eye steaks!! After all, it IS a tempranillo!
