In addition to his day job running a world-famous Napa winery, Ted Henry runs a small-production Cabernet house that focuses on his favorite parts of the valley: Stags Leap District and Coombsville.
“For me, this is mecca - where great wine is made. I’m a kid in a candy store. Napa is a fascinating place - so well preserved as an agricultural region even though it’s near the city," Ted says. And while it’s flush with top-shelf, top-dollar Cabernets galore…
Ted insists there is incredible value in the niche eastern hills and prime pockets of Napa Valley most wine drinkers don’t yet know. “Angels’ support can help the quest to find great value in top quality Napa Cabernet. Thank you!”
For founders Randy and Bradford Lange (themselves, identical twins), the success of the family's sustainable Lodi winery, wines, and vineyards is multigenerational – they carry a rich tradition as farmers and stewards of Northern San Joaquin Valley's wine lands.
The LangeTwins Family has vinted wines from their estate grapes since 2005, but they’ve worked with the likes of wine giants for decades – including Robert Mondavi – to establish new vineyards, experimental varietals and trial innovative farming techniques.
Now Angels are helping the LangeTwins Family cultivate an impact through their love of sustainable farming and support of a community. They say, “if you want to go far, go together” - they’re in wine for the long haul, just like you!
In June 2019, the Sainis – a 4th generation farming family in Dry Creek and Alexander Valley – opened up their first tasting room to feature wines crafted and made on their family land. They were forced to close less than a year later, following state COVID closures.
“We’ve closed our doors twice for crisis,” Mike said – for the Kincade Fire (Nov 2019) and now for the COVID-19 pandemic. With limited restaurant and DTC sales, the Sainis are inundated with wine, with no room to bottle future vintages. Cue Angels!
Lucky us. Mike Saini has a real passion for Sonoma, coupled with a truly special familiarity with every vineyard block responsible for the wines he makes. Look forward to a jaw-dropping introduction to Dry Creek Valley from a family who loves it most.
Listen to Daniel’s lifetime of winemaking stories on his podcast, The Winemaker’s Journey – featuring interviews with fellow winemakers and friends in the Napa Valley.
Rob’s had a hand in Napa’s sparkling wine game since its infancy, getting his boots wet at Chappellet and Schramsberg and later leading teams for Scharffenberger, Piper-Sonoma and Mumm. That's quite the pedigree!
Thanks to you, this seasoned sparkling professional has a new mission – to make elegant, esteemed bubbly more accessible to all!
He's rubbed elbows with rock stars, made championship bubbly for the major leagues and raked in 90-point scores as a critic darling – but 35 years into this business, this is the first time Rob's making sparkling under his own personal label. That’s all thanks to supporters like you.
