Rich, complex Merlot from an Angel-turned-winemaker
- A richly complex Merlot blend with a hint of oak on this deep ripe fruit from the Sonoma region of California.
- Tom was one of our 50,000 Angels...until his little garage winemaking project caught our attention – we helped him raise a million bucks to work with his dream vineyard and make his dream wine at a cutting-edge winery.
- This late-harvested Merlot took a bit of extra time to ripen, but that results in a softer, lusher wine with a smooth finish and lots of pure flavors.
Best before
The wine should be enjoyable at release and continue to improve for three to five years. It may improve further, but it's always better to enjoy a wine a little younger than have it go over the hill and lose its character.
Serving advice
When the wine is very new, three months or less after release, I suggest Decanting the wine and giving it 30-60 minutes to breathe. As the bottles age, you can use less decanting time and enjoy the evolution of the flavor profile in the glass.

Braised short ribs with roasted vegetables. Ribeye steak. Braised lamb shoulder. Roast duck or goose.
