About the wine
Angels rescued some of the oldest Chardonnay vines in Clarksburg
- David Akiyoshi tastes fruit from over 8,000 acres of Chardonnay every year and is the preemminent expert on Clarksburg Chardonnay.
- One of the oldest Chardonnay vineyards in the region was on the verge of being ripped out of the ground and destroyed because it didn't produce as much fruit as surrounding plots, but Angels rescued these vines and gave David the funding to focus on quality before quantity.
- Fragrant and bright, this is the most complex Chardonnay you can find at this price. Savor every sip and you might just make this your everyday white wine.

Meet the winemaker - David Akiyoshi
- "Best of California" in 2012, David was Director of Winemaking for Robert Mondavi's Woodbridge for 25 years.
- He was at the helm of Lodi's largest winery and is a fastidious and dedicated winemaker, the kind you expect to find in the world's most competitive and prestigious wine regions.
- David is a master in an undiscovered region. If you like to taste the next big thing while it's still totally underground, he is your winemaker.
