About the wine
A Portuguese powerhouse, raised in California
Ana’s deep, juicy red is BIG, complex and oozing with delicious dark fruits.
With your funding, Ana sculpted a muscular, complex red with an intense fruit finish... true to its Portuguese roots, but with a mean California twist.
Open this one up about an hour before you plan on drinking it. Spend that time preparing some thick juicy sirloin steaks and a fresh Béarnaise sauce.
Best before
This wine has immense tannins and great acidity, so it can age in your cellar over a long period of time! Dare to say 5 to 10 years! If you're not patient enough, decant it for 1 to 2 hours, and you can enjoy it right away.
Pour yourself a glass, while you wait, and see the wine open and shift. Perfect exercise while cooking dinner.
Serving advice
Yes, please be sure to open it at least one hour before planning on drinking it, so all the flavors can fully emerge, as well as to soften those powerful tannins.
Ideally this wine will be decanted for a couple of hours, so that all its unique aromas can be fully experienced.
Food match
This is a full-bodied wine that pairs great with hefty dishes, like an exquisite charcuterie plate, or a rosemary-rubbed leg of lamb. It will also pair really nicely with BBQ steak (my choice would fall on a juicy New York cut).
For a vegetarian choice, pair with a rustic ratatouille or a wild mushroom risotto.
Contains sulphites
