Benjamin Laroche Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons Vieilles Vignes 2015
About the wine
Rich and refreshing French Chablis that's dripping with luxury
This classic Burgundian white dances with creamy, delicate fruit and a finish that tickles your tongue.
Benjamin is the 7th generation to make Premier Cru Chablis - thanks to your support. He loves introducing Angels to Chablis – celebrating “what has been below the surface of our vineyards for centuries.”
And this limited-production vintage is the upper crust. Ben's super-picky about grape selection – “it might reduce our production quantity, but at the end of the day the bottle never compromises on quality.” Grab this world-class treat before it's gone!
Best before
From now until 8 years, I am pretty sure it will still be astonishing, although 2015 is not the vintage with the highest level of acidity – which made it rounder and fleshier than traditional but with less potential for aging than 2013 or 2014.
Serving advice
Open the bottle 10 minutes before service. (It should not be served too fresh.) Around 13°C, not less.
Food match
This wine will be a fantastic accompaniment with cooked oysters, white fish with savory sauce, chicken (my local favorite is Bresse chicken with morel cream sauce), veal, French andouillette, escargot, or goat cheese.
Contains sulphites
