Benjamin Laroche Chablis 1er Cru Vaucoupin 2014
About the wine
Vibrant, crisp white from the steep slopes of Burgundy
- In Chablis, there are a lot of Premier Crus– it's the choices the winemakers make that determine the standouts, and Ben's created one memorable player with his Premier Cru from Vaucoupin.
- Ben harvest his Chardonnay grapes from the right bank of the Serein river. The land is very steeply sloped, and its harsh growing conditions give this wine beautiful minerality.
- If you think you've tried every type of Chardonnay, think again. Ben's Chablis showcases this varietal in complete simplicity – and it's a must-have.
Best before
From now until 6 to 8 years (sometimes even more if kept in excellent cellar conditions).
