Dunnolly Estate Pinot Gris 2016
About the wine
Perfectly crisp New Zealand white from a father-daughter duo!
- When this father-daughter winemaking duo asked if Angels would like a small-production New Zealand Pinot Gris, we couldn't say yes fast enough.
- Harvested from the Waipara region, this crisp white is fresh and full of personality, with loads of crunchy apple and pear flavors in the glass.
- You're getting this gorgeous white for a bargain, and it's a great way to see what New Zealand and Dunnolly can produce!
Best before
This wine has been made to drink now and age up to 5 years. It will develop and evolve overtime and transition from crisp and fresh to more complex and oily over time. Both styles will be most enjoyable.
Serving advice
Please serve chilled ~8C or 48F.
Food match
Any fresh seafood would complement this wine. Also Spicy food like Thai or Indian would match perfectly. My ultimate dish would be to have this wine with fresh barbequed New Zealand scallops that have been wrapped in bacon and served along with a watercress salad dressed with a light vinaigrette – Delicious!
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Nicky Parish
- Meet Nicky and Peter... Nicky is the winemaker and Peter is the grower. They are father and daughter – and combined, they have over 50 years of experience in the wine industry.
- Making wine from the Waipara Valley, situated in North Canterbury on the South Island of NZ. Nicky's winemaking passions are crisp whites and Pinot Noir.
- For 10 years they grew grapes for the best producers in New Zealand (like Pegasus Bay), but a few years ago, they put their own name on the grapes when the vines hit their peak. Now Angels are helping Nicky and Peter continue their Dunnolly dream!
