About the wine
Stephen hit the sweet spot and got incredible Cabernet by investing a little bit more into Sierra Foothills vineyards
- Our most popular winemaker does it again, a turbo-charged Reserve version of his Cabernet Sauvignon that boasts a beautiful full-throttle kick of dark red fruit and a touch of silky smooth vanilla and spice.
- Stephen earned more positive ratings than any other Californian winemaker, so you gave him a blank check to make a whole new range of delicious black label wines – they're a couple bucks more expensive than his normal wines, but you get so much for that $2 it's unbelievable. He gets that quality by going up into the Sierra Foothills and working with really high end Cab vineyards.
- Tender, juicy steak, sizzling on the grill til it's cooked just right... it's the perfect pairing if you don't finish the whole bottle while you're cooking.
Best before
This wine will be nice upon release but will age nicely for the next 2-3 years.
Serving advice
I'd let the wine breathe for 30-40 minutes before serving. It does make a difference.

We've had a great garden this year. One of my favorites is grilled eggplant parmesan.

Meet the winemaker - Stephen Millier
- Stephen is no stranger to gold medals, but usually his prestigious employers are the only ones in the limelight.
- We offered Stephen some Angel funding to set aside some of his favorites wines and vineyards to make a special range with his name on the label just for us, and he jumped at the opportunity.
- If you like underdogs, Stephen's your man. He will find the over-looked and under-appreciated and he will take precious care to make sure they grow into big, beautiful wines that deserve more attention.
