Jim Duane Santa Barbara Pinot Noir 2022
About the wine
Elegant, casual red for anytime enjoyment
-
Jim says this Pinot “captures Santa Barbara’s sunshine, ocean breezes and casual elegance!” – Wild raspberries and ripe cherries that come together with gentle barrel aging.
-
Angel support gave Jim access to two cool, windy coastal vineyards in Santa Barbara's Sta. Rita Hills and Santa Maria regions that “live on the edge of being cool enough to barely ripen” – resulting in a long growing season and a Pinot with juicy fruit flavors and silky smoothness.
-
This Pinot is great solo, but will stand up to poultry dishes like rotisserie chicken and duck confit – or mushroom risotto – yes, please. Pass the Pinot.
Best before
Drink right away. No need to age.
Serving advice
Decant this wine before serving to allow the air to lift the bright purple fruit flavors. It drinks best on days 2 and 3.
Food match
Rotisserie chicken, truffle fries, Caprese salad and herb-roasted potatoes.
Contains sulphites
Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Jim Duane
- Jim Duane has been in the Napa wine game for quite some time making Cabernets for regional institutions, like Robert Mondavi and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars.

Winemakers can get incredible value harvesting grapes around California’s coast — so that’s where he’ll be based for you — in the vineyards of Monterey, Paso Robles and Santa Barbara!
- With your support, Jim’s set to bring you coastal classics including Grenache, Pinot Noir and Rosé — all made with Jim’s Napa finesse. As a loyal Angel himself, he can deliver world-class wines perfectly built to your taste and budget!
