Lacaze Private Collection Carignan Syrah 2017
About the wine
A rare Chilean Syrah blend - rich, supple and smooth!
- Bursting with juicy red berries, plump dark fruit and a dash of spice, this Syrah blend is smooth and dangerously drinkable. Crack it open any day of the week to enjoy some easy elegance!
- Trained in Bordeaux, JP Lacaze certainly knows how to finesse a red blend. With your funding, he hand-selected the fruit for this wine and made a truly unique Chilean red just for you.
- ...and this wine gets even better with a hearty winter meal – like rich beef stew. JP loves reminiscing about his time in France with a glass and a warm bowl of Ratatouille!

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Jean Pascal Lacaze
- When his main client went bust this brilliant winemaker was left in a pretty sticky situation, thankfully we met him at the right time and with Angel funding rescued his delicious wine!
- Originally trained in Bordeaux, he is now an iconic winemaker in Chile, famous for his Domus Aurea Cabernet Sauvignon. Every vintage he has produced has got a 90+ rating and is dripping with medals and critical acclaim.
- Those wines sell for an average of $60 a bottle, now we have his very own range, exclusive to us, for just a snip of the price. All thanks to Angel support!
