Rick Boyer Central Coast Oaked Chardonnay 2020
About the wine
Rich, full-powered Chardonnay - a luscious Central Coast sipper
- This bold, buttery Chardonnay is Rick’s world-class take on a classic coastal white, balancing fruity flavors of crisp apple with a rich, creamy texture and long, lavish finish.
- Your support gave Rick insider access to grapes from a cool-climate pocket of vineyards in southern Monterey County to bring you this rich, sumptuous Chardonnay packed with classic coastal character.
- Whether you age it a few years or pop the cork on arrival, for best results just make sure you sip it beside a heap of mouthwatering garlic shrimp fresh off the barbecue or hearty, grilled sea bass. Yum!
Best before
This Chardonnay is made in a ready-to-drink-now style, with lots of tropical California sunshine flavors. It will age nicely for 3-4 years.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Rick Boyer
- We’ve been looking for an experienced winemaker familiar with the
Central Coast and Monterey area in particular – we knew Rick fit the bill. He's farmed gorgeous, cool SoCal vineyards for over 25 years! - He had been making wine his whole life, but got out of the biz (to start a bonsai
business) because the risk and middlemen got in the way of his passion. He's back in, thanks to you! - What makes Rick's wines special? "I take a different perspective compared to a lot of other wines out there - like Euro style; feminine; delicate - like focused generous reds, focused complex whites; plenty of persistence, fruit, and flavor."
