S & A Doce + Forte Amador County 2014
About the wine
Soft and Strong, port-style dessert wine
- Serious wow factor on this beautiful 500 ml bottle that combines a touch of sweetness with the strength of a Port-styled fortified wine.
- Ana is Portuguese so she was really itching to make a fortified wine and show what a talented Portugeuse winemaker can do in Californian soil.
- This is the best way to finish off a meal – a little tipple of Doce + Forte. And you can keep the bottle open for several days just by putting the cork back in it. The alcohol will keep it from spoiling much longer than a normal bottle of red wine.
Best before
Can age for a very long time, due to the higher alcohol content- 10+ years...but you won't want to wait that long!
Serving advice
Only advice is to sip small amounts- it's not like a standard "still wine." Our Doce + Forte has a higher alcohol and residual sugar content, and is meant to be enjoyed over a longer period of time.
Food match
Blue cheeses, gorgonzola, and other strong cheeses
dark chocolate desserts
candied nuts and dried fruits
Contains sulphites
