F. Stephen Millier Legend Series Hay Station Ranch Calaveras Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
About the wine
Single-vineyard Gold Country red from your all-time favorite winemaker
Stephen’s deep, dark Cabernet packs a powerful punch of ripe berry and juicy red plum flavors cradled in toasty oak spice – a taste of the good life, Millier style!
Angel support kept Stephen on his home turf in California’s Calaveras County, where he harvested primo Cabernet (and a smidge of Petite Sirah for extra oomph!) from a single vineyard he knows like the back of his hand – Hay Station Ranch in the Gold Rush town of Murphys.
Stephen says drinking this Cabernet is a “spiritual experience” – and at your unbelievable Angel price, you can stock up and enjoy this spirited red on a frequent basis – alongside Stephen’s favorite pairing, steak frites.
Best before
This should age very well for up to 10 years. But who can wait that long? I know I can't.
Serving advice
Open 45 minutes prior to drinking, but don't feel bad if you realize you drank it too soon because tasting it was a spiritual experience.
Food match
Seared ribeye and homemade fries in an air fryer, a classic steak frites.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Stephen Millier
- Stephen is no stranger to gold medals, but usually his prestigious employers are the only ones in the limelight.
- We offered Stephen some Angel funding to set aside some of his favorites wines and vineyards to make a special range with his name on the label just for us, and he jumped at the opportunity.
- If you like underdogs, Stephen's your man. He will find the over-looked and under-appreciated and he will take precious care to make sure they grow into big, beautiful wines that deserve more attention.
