Jarvis Tomei El Dorado Syrah 2011
About the wine
Beautifully aged Syrah from 3000 feet above sea level!
- A bottle-aged pearl from 2011 full of oomph and a peppery finish. This is grown at 3000 feet above sea level in the Sierra Foothills and develops a lot of spice and character during the extended and intricate fermentation process (where Jeff and Jessica do half of the grapes as whole clusters still on the stems and the other half painstakingly de-stemmed).
- This wine wasn't originally Angel-funded, but Jeff and Jessica offer it exclusively to our community because Angels helped them through a very difficult hardship.
- In 2014, Jeff and Jessica faced every parent's worst nightmare - their daughter was ill and the doctors couldn't explain it. They thank the stars that they made it through and the Angels for giving them a helping hand when they were down. This bottle is more than a delicious wine; it's a tribute to the kindness and support you offered Jeff and Jessica when they needed you most.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Jarvis Tomei Family
Years Angel-funded: 2012-18
- Jeff and Jessica worked around the world at top wineries in Italy, Chile and all over before settling down in California to craft boutique wines and make a family.
- Being a small boutique winemaker means a lot of time in the cellar and even more time selling the wine on the road. Angel-funding gave Jeff and Jessica to make and sell great wine without sacrificing the time to make memories with their kids while they were tots.
- And through a special rescue wine, Angels gave this family the funds they needed to stay afloat to cover their daughter's medical bills. 'Helping Hand' is the wine they made to thank you for your generosity!
