About the wine
Generous, fruit-driven Sonoma white from your Russian River expert
- This vibrant white is all about generous fruity flavors, like juicy melon and ripe pear, with a touch of natural richness for a fuller, lusher texture than your usual easy-sipping Pinot Gris.
- Your funding helped Ondine harvest choice Pinot Gris from the cool-climate vineyards of Sonoma’s Russian River Valley, where regular blankets of Pacific fog help the grapes ripen slowly and evenly for a thirst-quenching set of flavors.
- The only catch is Ondine could only harvest enough of this world-class Pinot Gris to create less than 1,000 cases for Angels. Seize the day and save $13 on this limited-edition gem before it slips away!
Best before
No aging required. This Pinot Gris will drink best in the near future - the style is all about the easy fruity freshness which will be most evident in the first year or so from release (think two years from vintage date).
Serving advice
Chill the wine first to refrigerator temperature and enjoy while it is still chilled (maybe keep an ice bucket nearby). It doesn't need to be exceptionally cold, but it is most refreshing when there is still some frost or condensation that forms on the glass (depending upon the outside temperature).
Food match
I do love cheese and whether cold, melted, or shredded into a dish, it is a beautiful partner to the balanced flavors of this Pinot Gris. This white wine is also lovely paired with dishes incorporating coconut milk, so Thai curries are a great match as well.

Wine profile
Meet the winemaker - Ondine Chattan
Unmistakably one of the North Coast’s top winemaking talents, Ondine Chattan’s worked for wine institutions – famed wineries like Ridge Vineyards, Cline Cellars, and spent decades running famed Healdsburg winery Geyser Peak.
Does Geyser Peak sound familiar? It should – it’s the long-time winemaking home of one legendary Daryl Groom – and it’s where these decades-long colleagues and friends met. They’re still close… in fact, they might collaborate on exclusive wines now and again.*wink.*
Ondine is awestruck by the wine community Angels have built – and she wants to help it grow. “I truly connect to people through the wines I make,” she said. “The stories of the growers, the vineyards, and the process behind the wine are as vital to me as grapes.”
